Knowing God's Will Prayer

Wondering what the will of God is for your life? Do you know somebody who is walking around aimless not perceiving the will of God for their life? God created every person with a purpose to serve for His glory. However, we cannot understand that purpose until we truly seek Him as Lord in every area of our life. When we surrender ALL of our "rights" to obedience of His Word, we shall find the purpose He called us to according to His glory!!! We should also pray the Holy Spirit open and closes doors to us as He wills (Acts 16: 6-13).

Scriptures to pray for the person:    

2 Timothy 1:9  Lord I know you have called __________ with a holy calling, not according to their works, but according to Your own purpose and grace which was granted them in Christ Jesus from all eternity. Lord I ask You would help ____________ to discern Your purpose for their life and to walk in it.  

Romans 8:28 Lord I know you have promised to work all things together for good to those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.  Lord I ask that You would take everything from ___________'s past and now work it together for good in ways they can understand serve Your purpose. Lord help ____________ to love You in a way that is pleasing to You and desire to serve Your purpose for their life. Lord reveal Your purpose and strengthen them to walk in it.  

Proverbs 3:5,6  Lord I pray that ______________ would trust in You with all of their heart and not lean on their own understanding. Lord I ask that in all their ways they would acknowledge You, so that You will make their paths straight and lead them into Your purpose for their life.  

Psalm 37:4, 5, 7 Lord I pray you would help ____________ to delight themselves in you and understand that encompasses a lifestyle of seeking You at all times so that You may give them the desires of their heart, which if they are delighting themselves in You…will actually be Your desires filling their heart and they will aligned with Your will. Lord help _____________ to commit all their ways to You and to place their trust in You, as You will do it.  Lord at times they cannot see Your answers clearly, I pray you would help them to rest in You and wait patiently for You.  

Jeremiah 29:11-13 Lord, You know the plans that You have for ____________, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give _______________ a future and a hope. Please let your Holy Spirit remind _____________ to call upon You and come and pray to You, and You will listen to them. Remind ________________ to seek You and find You when they search for You will all their heart.  

1 John 2:14-17 Lord, I pray that _____________ does not love the world, nor the things of the world. Help ___________ recognize all that is of the world, including the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life are not of You. Lord the world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of You abides forever. Help ______________ to know and do Your will, as they abide in Your word.  

Matthew 22:42 Lord, I ask that You would help __________ to come to a place in their life of such complete surrender to You that they would willingly say, “Not my will , but Thy will be done.”  

John 4:34 Lord, I ask that You would give ____________ the same attitude that was found in Christ that they might say along with Him, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to accomplish His work.”  

John 16:13, Ephesians 5:15-17, Colossians 3:16   Lord I ask that _____________ will be yielded to the filling of Your Holy Spirit, by removing themselves from the center of their life and placing their focus on You by abiding in Your Word and obeying it. Lord You promised us that when He, the Spirit of truth comes into our lives, He will guide us into all truth. You have told us to be careful how we walk and to make the most of our time. You have warned us not to be foolish, but to understand what the will of the Lord is and to be filled with the Spirit. In almost a parallel passage in Colossians Lord, You tell us that we are to let the Word of Christ richly dwell in us, where the other passage calls for the filling of Your Holy Spirit. Lord this is how we know what Your will is, when we live surrendered to You and Your Word. Please grant _____________ this understanding that they may comprehend Your will for their life.  

Romans 12:1,2 Lord I ask that you would put the desire into ______________ to present their body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to You and that they would not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of their mind, that they may prove what the will of God is , that which is good, acceptable, and perfect.
